How many pay periods (or Payroll) are there in one year?

What is the Difference in the 2021 Payroll Calendar?

Employers can look forward to receiving 27 biweekly pay checks in the new year, with 53 Fridays by 2021.

A lot of it is contingent on whether or not your company delivers paychecks to teammates on Friday, Jan. 1 which is a holiday. It is the first day of three months when employees will receive three pay checks in one month. If this is indeed true, the next three paycheck months of 2021 will be December and July.
